1. Don’t throw that away! Practice recycling in your
home and school. If they don’t have them, ask grownups to help
you start recycling programs.
2. Become a “Shelter Angel.” Animal
shelters across the country are in constant need of volunteers to
help abandoned animals. Contact your local shelter
and discover how you can make life better for an
animal in need.
3. Share your food. Donate canned goods and other needed
supplies to aid-organizations in your
community and worldwide.
4. Learn and teach. Check out these great sites to learn about endangered

5. Pick up a pen. Even a kid can make an impact
with a letter. Write to your Senators, President and the leaders
of other
countries to
ask for their commitment to help animals. Get
tips on writing.
6. Love your pets. Don't forget to feed the fish,
pet the dog, whistle to the bird and toss the Little Pink Sock for
your kitty. Make them happy
