1. Don’t throw that away! Practice recycling in your
home and school. If they don’t have them, ask grownups to help you start recycling programs.

2. Become a “Shelter Angel.” Animal shelters across the country are in constant need of volunteers to help abandoned animals. Contact your local shelter and discover how you can make life better for an animal in need.

3. Share your food. Donate canned goods and other needed supplies to aid-organizations in your community and worldwide.

4. Learn and teach. Check out these great sites to learn about endangered animals and tell your friends what you find. Discover how to help!

5. Pick up a pen. Even a kid can make an impact with a letter. Write to your Senators, President and the leaders of other countries to ask for their commitment to help animals. Get tips on writing.

6. Love your pets. Don't forget to feed the fish, pet the dog, whistle to the bird and toss the Little Pink Sock for your kitty. Make them happy everyday!
